While conducting the biennial review of the Guidelines in 2022-2023, the Telluride Housing Authority Subcommittee determined it would be desirable to have a similar central document to help guide staff, tenants, and prospective tenants as to the rules for qualification for living in Town Constructed Rental Units and how these properties will be managed.The first step in the process is to gather information from Community Services Director DeLanie Tapson, who oversees the Housing Department, to determine what changes, if any, are needed to the existing occupancy and qualification criteria to fit the current community&#39;s needs better with respect to income limitations and minimum employment requirements. This information was presented at the November 2023 THA Subcommittee meeting and will continue to be presented as the THA Board now considers establishing new rental qualification policies and management standards.In the coming weeks, the THA Board will kick off their review, discuss possible directions, and analyze data to make informed decisions regarding the Rental Housing Policy. The goal is to ensure the efficacy and fairness of existing regulations. What is the Chair 7/Carhenge Neighborhood Planning Project?The Town of Telluride and Telluride Ski &amp; Golf (TSG) are collaborating to continue the development of critical infrastructure, commercial space, and an additional bed base in the Chari 7/Carhenge base area. A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was recently executed between the Town and TSG to facilitate land planning and community engagement services for the Chair 7 Neighborhood. As part of the planning for this area, the entities have engaged with Design Work Shop and CCY Architects &ndash; both of which are nationally renowned planning and design firms that work extensively in Colorado and the Telluride Region. This strategic project aims to align with the community and housing development goals outlined in the Town of Telluride&rsquo;s Southwest Area Plan, with a specific focus on the Carhenge site, Tract Y, Shandoka, and Lot L. Building upon the Southwest Area Plan&rsquo;s recommendations, the Chair 7 Neighborhood Plan will adopt an integrated approach to the Carhenge site and the Telluride Ski and Golf land surrounding Chair 7.How can I learn more or get involved?The Town and TSG hosted two meetings in March at the Ah Haa School for the Arts Launch Pad.
