Story Poles Erected | Carhenge Closed

Story Pole Installation and Temporary Lot Closure | July 6-17

The Carhenge Lot will be closed to parking and vehicle access from Monday, July 6 through Friday, July 17 for the installation of story poles on the site. Story poles are temporary frameworks that outline the height, massing, and placement of the proposed buildings, allowing HARC, Town boards, and community members to visualize the scale of the preferred concept in the context of the surrounding neighborhood.

During the closure, drivers who typically use the Carhenge Lot are encouraged to seek alternative parking. The lot will reopen following the removal of the story poles.

As part of this effort, the Historic and Architectural Review Commission (HARC) will conduct a review and on-site walk on Wednesday, July 15. Community members are welcome to attend. Meeting details and the agenda will be posted here and on the Town's meeting portal when available.
