Key Dates

East Colorado Avenue between Pine and Alder will be closed to vehicles overnight tonight, October 2, to allow the new pavement on the south side to cool and to prepare for paving the north side early tomorrow, Friday, October 3, 2025.

Pedestrian crosswalks will remain open during this time. Please use caution when crossing, as there may be small variations in pavement height.

Thursday, October 2:

  • Colorado Ave: Aspen St to Alder St
• Paving:
  • N Aspen St: Dakota Ave to Galena Ave
  • N Townsend St: Columbia Ave to Colorado Ave
  • N Pine St: North Alley south to Colorado Ave

Please move vehicles from these areas during today's work hours, 8:00 am to 6:00 pm, so that crews can complete work on time and to avoid being ticketed or towed.

Work schedule

• September 29–October 1: Milling of existing asphalt
• October 2–15: Paving and resurfacing
• October 16: Patching and cleanup

Key notes

• Work will occur weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (with setup starting as early as 7:00 a.m.).
• Colorado Avenue paving will be prioritized and completed before the KOTO 50th Birthday Street Party on Saturday, October 4. All traffic control will be cleared by Friday, October 3.
• Traffic and parking impacts will vary by location as work progresses. Streets included in the program are:
